Good Samaritan Society - Arlington
Arlington, OH

Over the years, Good Samaritan Society – Arlington has been so fortunate and blessed to call the community of Arlington, Ohio, home. Thirty-five years ago, community leaders formed a Board of Directors and began planning for a way to best take care of the local seniors. Through many meetings and long discussions, the idea of a nursing center began to come into focus, and Good Samaritan Society – Arlington started to take shape. On June 11, 1972, Good Samaritan Society – Arlington, then known as Arlington Good Samaritan Center, held its first dedication service and open house celebration. With the opening of the center, a group of visionary leaders from the community collectively ensured that local seniors could receive quality care in a Christian environment while remaining “in the backyard of Arlington.”

Throughout the years, the center has grown from its original form to offer many services in addition to nursing care. Our services now include affordable senior housing options, meals on wheels and several types of outpatient therapies. While many years have passed since that first opening dedication service, one thing still remains constant: Good Samaritan Society – Arlington exists to meet the needs of the community by caring for residents and equipping staff members to continue to provide the best care possible.
