Flint Ridge is a 101 bed Medicare/Medicaid certified skilled nursing facility, located at 1450 West Main Street in Newark, Ohio, just two blocks from Licking Memorial Hospital.

Post-Hospital Rehabilitation- Flint Ridge is renowned for its rehab services. The vast majority of our patients stay for an average of 35 days following their hospitalization. Therapy services are offered seven days a week by a full staff of Physical, Occupational and Speech/language therapists.

Working with prominent Central Ohio primary care and specialist physicians, we care for patients with significant rehab and medical needs, including:

* Joint replacement and spinal surgery patients
* Cardiac Surgery/Critical Cardiac event patients
* Stroke Patients
* Patients with traumatic injuries from auto and industrial accidents
* Recovering cancer patients
* Patients with neurological impairments, such as Parkinson's Disease
* Patients recovering from major illnesses, requiring intravenous therapy, dialysis, total parenteral nutrition.

Our skilled rehabilitation unit includes 25 luxury-sized private rooms , fully furnished with specialized electric beds, large screen televisions, telephones, and comfortable furnishings for family members and other visitors. Guests are welcomed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and may also take their meals with patients.

Patients choose from a selective menu, including a wide range of homestyle meals, offered within approved, specialized diets.

Lorna's Place, Long Term Care
For individuals whose needs require 24 hour care, Flint Ridge offers Lorna's Place a 20 bed, homelike long term care unit, featuring semi-private rooms, a private dining and activity area, and a covered outdoor patio and courtyard. Our emphasis is on creating community and quality of life through a full program of activities and events for long term care residents.

"The House" Alzheimer's Care Unit
The House is a 30 bed secured unit in which care is provided for individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia. Within a homelike setting, the specially trained staff provide a person-centered model of care, with individualized relationships geared toward maintaining quality of life and daily living skills for residents. Individual medical oversite is supplemented by Dr. Donald Friedenburg, a renowned central-Ohio Alzheimer's specialist.
