Since 1956 our family's personal interest has been in the needs of each resident and their family. Our wide range of services includes Skilled and Intermediate Nursing Care, Assisted Living, Independent Living, Long and Short Term stays and Outpatient Therapies, Respite Care, Hospice provider, Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit, and programs specific to Alzheimer's Disease and other related disorders.

Our registered nurses and licensed practical nurses work closely with our Medical Director, Thomas Hubbell, M.D. and most physicians in Delaware County. Our team of Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Respiratory Therapists provide outstanding rehabilitation services. Families are encouraged to attend Care Plan conferences to remain informed and involved. Our staff of registered and licensed nurses as well as state tested nurse assistants are carefully screened prior to employment.

Throughout Delaware Court, there are attractive wall coverings, carpeting, and recessed lighting. Comfortable seating areas are designed for the residents to enjoy quiet time and conversation with family and friends.

Accommodations include private and semi-private rooms with private bathrooms that are spacious and tastefully appointed. Environmental services maintain a pleasant, clean and secure environment. Beautician and barber salon offer residents an opportunity to maintain their dignity and self esteem.

Safety features include a security system that monitors all entrances and exits for the safety of our residents. Our centrally located nursing station is equipped with a state of the art call system that allows our staff to respond to the needs of our residents quickly.

Our dining room is designed to bring the bright beauty of the outdoors inside. Professionally planned and prepared meals by our dietician and dietary manager are both nutritional and appealing. Every effort is made to allow our residents to choose which foods they prefer. Dietary staff members encourage residents to join others in the spacious dining room.

Our activity department is guided by our certified Activities Coordinator and offers innovative and creative activity programs that are offered throughout the week, in the evenings and on the weekends. Programs including sing-a longs, pet therapy, musical performances, and one to one sessions, ensure that all preferences are met. Public outings on our facility shuttle keep our residents involved in our community and maintain self confidence.

Medical Services:

Our professional health care staff is chosen carefully. They combine a genuine concern for their residents along with their professional credentials. This genuine concern is an attitude shared by all our staff members. These people are highly trained, and long-term care is their specialty. Individualized rehabilitative nursing techniques help residents become as self-sufficient as possible as soon as possible, and allow many people to resume their former lifestyle.

Dr. Thomas Hubbell MD, has been our medical director for several years. In addition to serving as our medical director, he has also served as the chief of staff at the Grady Memorial Hospital and is currently a member of the board. Dr. Hubbell frequently visits the facility and coordinates care. If you need physician services, he will be glad to have a personal conference with you to discuss your needs. Most physicians in Delaware county have residents at Delaware Court, so keeping your doctor will help the the transition to living with us be as smooth as possible.
Our pharmacy service features a unit dose system which helps ensure accuracy of administration and is provided to all our residents. Medication is regularly monitored by a registered pharmacist consultant.

At our facility, the emotional and social requirements of our residents are continually accommodated. The staff is constantly informed of the latest in nursing techniques and ideas through regular seminars and inservice training.
